Ghosts in the Chat Log

Ghosts in the Chat Log is a nostalgic, bittersweet song about the people we once knew intimately online, yet somehow lost completely as the internet moved on.

It remembers the world of dial-up, MSN, AIM, Nokia phones, shaky webcams and late-night conversations with strangers who sometimes knew more about us than the people in the next room.

Some were friendships, some were crushes, some were simply usernames that appeared every night until one day they didn’t. No goodbye, no explanation, just a final “BRB” left hanging somewhere in digital history.

Ghosts in the Chat Log is about those fleeting connections from the early internet, the people we never really knew but never completely forgot, and the strange sadness of wondering where they are now.
