Not Your Fault

Not Your Fault is a deeply personal song for my wife, but also for anyone who has ever blamed themselves while trying desperately to have a baby.

It is about the quiet pain behind pregnancy announcements, baby showers, doctor appointments and another month of unanswered hope. About watching other families grow while wondering why your own journey has been so difficult, and carrying guilt for something that was never yours to carry.

At its heart, the song is a promise: your worth is not measured by whether you can have a child. You are not less deserving of love, and you do not have to carry the heartbreak alone.

Whatever our future holds, I chose my wife for who she is, not for what her body might or might not give us. I would choose her in every lifetime, with or without the sound of little feet in our home.

Not Your Fault is for everyone who needs to hear those words, especially on the days when they are hardest to believe.
