Rachy Baby

Rachy Baby is a deeply personal love song for my wife, Rachael.

It tells the true story of how we found each other, how she left Dunstable and built a life with me in Newcastle, and how the years since have been filled with love, laughter, marriage, hope and more than a few tears.

At the heart of the song is something much harder to put into words: our hope that one day she will have the chance to become a mum. It is about the names quietly imagined, the lullabies waiting to be sung, and the ache of wanting something so deeply while never knowing what the future will bring.

But Rachy Baby is also about something bigger than that dream. It is my promise to her that whatever happens, she is already enough. If our story one day includes a tiny new life, I will cherish every second. If it does not, I would still choose her again and again.

From that first December to everything still ahead of us, she is my home, my always, my maybe, and the love of my life.
