Warp Drive Heart

Warp Drive Heart started life as a private love song for my wife.

We are both hardcore Trekkers, so I wrote it as a way of expressing how much I love her through the language of something we both adore: Star Trek, sci-fi, ridiculous references and all.

It is packed with nods to Vulcans, Risa, tribbles, Q, warp drive, the Prime Directive and plenty more, but underneath all the geekery is a very simple message: wherever life takes us, she is home.

I never originally planned to release it publicly. Then I thought, why not?

And somehow this very nerdy little love song went on to become the first dance at someone’s wedding, which still blows my mind.

So Warp Drive Heart is for the Trekkers, the romantics, and anyone who has ever found their person somewhere in the vast unknown. 🖖
